With a passion for weddings and 25 years of professional expertise, Kristy and her team will work relentlessly to bring your wedding day vision to fruition.
Our Beginning
Betrothed Boutique and Modern Bloom took root in founder Kristy Kimball’s hometown in 2008. The shops located at 203 E. Wisconsin Avenue, carried a wide variety of prom dresses, bridal gowns, accessories, tuxedo and linen rentals. The downtown shops started small, with Kimball and her team creating custom floral and bridal designs for weddings throughout Wisconsin.
“Kristy understood my vision and created gorgeous floral that no one that attended our wedding will ever forget.”
— Samina K, bride
Throughout the past decade, Kristy’s floral and bridal designs have been featured in publications including Milwaukee's Life Style Magazine, Premier Bride of Milwaukee and southeastern Wisconsin, and at events such as the Milwaukee Art Museum's annual Art in Bloom, Wonderful World of Weddings and more. In 2017, her floral shop, Modern Bloom, was also honored as nominee for Milwaukee A-List's best wedding flowers.
Our Mission
Kent County is one of the most severely underserved communities in Tennessee. To combat this adversity, Project Sprout seeks to nourish our neighbors at the most fundamental level with healthy food options and a strong support network. All members get a portion of each harvest and surpluses are donated to low-income families whose work schedules prevent them from volunteering.

With ten gardens and counting, Project Sprout has seen a significant improvement in mental and physical health for all participating community members. Other than lowering obesity, blood pressure, and depression rates, the crime rate has also fallen. Our children are doing better in school, reporting higher grades and aspirations, and better job prospects.
Let’s Chat!
If you are planning to tie the knot, get involved to receive portions of each harvest. We accept volunteers regardless of skill level. There is a rotation in roles, but we’ll teach you all the skills you need to know. Teenagers 14 years and older can earn community service credits for school in addition to getting produce for their families. Donations are also vital to our growth, as we use them for seed, fertilizer, tools, and outreach.
